Make PowerPoint Go Back to the Previous Slide with Right Mouse Click

PPT2013

I still run into situations where I have to use PowerPoint for presentations. One small annoyance with PowerPoint is that while it’s in the Slide Show mode, when you right-click on the mouse, that action brings up the menu instead of moving the slide back. Not the best use of the right click in my opinion. You can change this behavior by following the steps below.

  1. In PowerPoint, go to the File menu, then to Options.

  2. Go to Advanced, then scroll down to Slide Show.2014-04-11_14-16-35
  3. Uncheck the Show menu on right mouse click option.
  4. Press OK.

From this point on, when you are in the Slide Show, you can move back one slide by right clicking on the mouse.
